Here we have the latest oxymoron from the MET Office in the United Kingdom, ‘conveniently’ just in time for the Cancun Climate Conference. Remember we have to keep everyone stirred up about non-existent anthropogenic global warming. Per the Telegraph…..
Global warming has slowed in the last decade, according to the Met Office, as the world pumps out so much pollution it is reflecting the sun’s rays and causing a cooling effect.
OK, so all that nasty pollution the global warmers complain about causing global warming is now causing global cooling? No wait……
The latest figures from more than 20 scientific institutions around the world show that global temperatures are higher than ever.
OK, so which is it? Are we cooling or heating? What? Both?
However the gradual rise in temperatures over the last 30 years is slowing slightly. Global warming since the 1970s has been 0.16C (0.3F) but the rise in the last decade was just 0.05C (0.09F), according to the Met Office.
So, we’re cooling while we’re heating…..I guess the MET Office likes to hedge their climate prediction bets.
Oops! Wait a moment, we have another player in this mystery……
Another factor that has reduced the rate of warming is a prolonged minimum in the solar cycle, meaning the Earth is receiving slightly less heat from the sun.
Hmmmm…….seems for at least the past year I’ve been reading warmer BS that the Sun has absolutely nothing to do with global warming, cooling or anything. I guess they think it just sits up there and does nothing? Oh no, not another factor……
Also short-term weather patterns such as the tropical storms El Niño and La Niña.
So, which is it? Warmer BS I read claims that global warming is causing El Niño and La Niña, yet now the MET Office claims that they cause weather? And now weather causes global warming or global cooling? Whoddathunkit?
Let’s also toss in the MET Office’s prediction of a warm 2010-2011 winter in the UK again, which as I type is being disproven as Britain is buried under ten inches of snow. You can see for yourself in the below video.
Yes we certainly believe the MET Office. That same MET Office who’s outdone by a local person with a £1,000 weather station who is evidently more accurate than the MET Office with their £30 million computer and a building full of people.
Yes, I certainly do believe their contradictory predictions. Remember no matter whether hot or cold, cooling or warming, monsoon or drought, sea-level rise or sea-level fall, according to the MET Office postulations, it’s all caused by global warming.
Damn! Should I stock up on swimming suits or long johns?
