Lucy! You got some 'splainin' to do!!!

ricky_ricardoAccording to this article from the Waterbury Replublican American the EPA has some explaining to do…

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, has introduced a bipartisan bill, and is guaranteed a vote, that would stop the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from moving forward on new rules aimed at regulating greenhouse-gas emissions by overturning its finding that global warming poses a clear and present danger to public health and welfare.

Last week, the governors of 18 states and two territories joined 98 industry groups in sending letters in support of the senator’s resolution.

While Skilling’s fraud has been proved in court, the EPA’s fraud is only now being exposed, and based on opinion polls, the EPA is being found guilty in the court of public opinion. The fraud behind the EPA’s regulations is threefold: the science, the economics and the results.

We already know about the science.  The article goes further into it but you have climategate, glaciergate, hurricane gate, Amazongate, Africagate, Chinagate, Pachaurigate, et al.

Regarding costs not increasing…according to the article, so much for that theory…

The EPA claims that its regulations won’t increase costs or otherwise harm the economy. This is laughable. The regulations can’t work if the costs of fossil fuels don’t increase and force the public to shift to less reliable, more expensive alternative fuels.

An independent analysis from Harvard University found that to reach President Obama’s CO2 target, gasoline prices would have to more than double to $7 a gallon.

When the Treasury Department looked at Congress’ preferred alternative to EPA regulations, “cap-and-trade,” it found the average household would spend an extra $1,761 per year. And that is the less-expensive alternative to the EPA’s top-down regulations.

Some of the results wil be…

Worst of all, the economic downturn brought on by the EPA’s regulations would do nothing to reduce CO2 emissions because fast-growing economic competitors such as China and India, not hampered by U.S. energy restrictions, will continue to generate huge growth in their emissions.

Indeed, China alone emits more CO2 than the United States and Canada combined. And research by physicist Richard A. Muller at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory shows every 10 percent reduction in emissions in the United States is negated by one year’s growth in China’s emissions.

I sincerely hope all the lawsuits work and get the EPA to sit down and shut up,  They’re basing  decisions on bad science, which is being used for a political agenda, which is to carbon tax the snot out of everyone.

February 2010 – 5th Warmest Since 1880?

Thermometer5th warmest?  Well, that’s what NOAA says from their site anyway…

Last month’s combined global land and ocean surface temperature made it the sixth warmest February ever recorded. Additionally, the December 2009 – February 2010 period was the fifth warmest on record averaged for any similar three-month Northern Hemisphere winter-Southern Hemisphere summer season, according to scientists at NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, N.C.

This is the insanity the name of this blog refers to.  Sounds exciting doesn’t it?  Plays up the Anthropogenic Global Warming, makes The Goracle happy.  I can hear the carbon credit prices rising as I type.

I have to question anything from NOAA at this time and moreover I have to question the data they use, and the past data used since 1880, and I have to say this is a big crock of you know what.  Ask yourself the following questions and you’ll see where I’m coming from…

  • Isn’t NOAA the ones who’s temperature data was so bad they quit using it and used data from CRU?
  • Isn’t CRU’s data not only busted but disappeared off the face of the Earth?
  • Didn’t Phil Jones admit to no statistically significant warming for the past 15 years?
  • What?  We had reliable temperature stations all over the globe in 1880? 1890? 1900? 1910? 1920? 1930? 1940? 1950? 1960?  I think not.
  • What?  Back in the day you had regular old thermometers.  Were they calibrated? Were they accurate? Where were they placed? In the sun? Under trees? Inside houses, barns?
  • Did the people reading them have their glasses on?  Did they record the temperatures accurately?

Sorry NOAA, but I currently have trouble believing anything you publish.

Forget Scientists….Congress now uses Peruvian Farmers on Global Warming and Co2

capitol-building-pictureScientists, I think Congress and Al Gore wants you to head to the unemployment office and file.  You’re not needed anymore, forget data, forget research, forget peer-review it’s not needed anymore.  Al has found himself a Peruvian farmer who know’s everything you need to know about climate change, gloabal warming, C02.  Talk about insanity.

Per The Goracle’s own blog right here

Last Monday, women whose lives had been impacted by the climate crisis came to Capitol Hill to tell their powerful stories. For example, Marisa Marcavillaca of Peru told members of Congress:

“Nature is disrupted. It rains when it shouldn’t rain.” Marisa Marcavillaca of Peru said through a translator. “We have freezing temperatures when we shouldn’t have freezing temperatures. Because our yields are down, it is difficult to feed our children.”

“Warmer temperatures in her farming area have spurred plant diseases, and the quality of agricultural seeds has degenerated, cutting into local women’s ability to earn a living, she said.”

All over the world, people are feeling the impact of the climate crisis. There are defenders of the status quo who argue that solutions to the climate crisis will harm those living in poverty. These women are witnesses to the fact that just the opposite is true.

Next week perhaps they’ll have Madame Marushka and her crystal ball testify about future problems with global warming.

Audi Had it Right

Garbage PileThe Audi Superbowl commerical with the Green Police wasn’t far off the mark.  According to this article on Prison Planet…

The commercial features enviro-cops rifling through people’s refuse in an attempt to discover if anyone has put the wrong item in the wrong trash can. When they find a battery, the goons immediately storm the house. Shortly after, a man is shown peeling an orange only to be hit by a dazzling beam and the words, “Sir, put the rind down, that’s a compost infraction!”

Storming your house won’t be the end of it….it’s going to cost you money, too……lots of it..

“Householders could be fined up to £1,000 (about $1,500 USD) if they fail to comply with complex new rules on refuse sorting. Food scraps, tea bags and vegetable peelings thrown into the wrong dustbin could land them with hefty penalties under government plans to be unveiled today,” reports the Daily Mail.

“Families could end up with five different bins and receptacles – including compulsory slop buckets for food waste – and be forced to sift through rubbish for anything that can be recycled, reused or converted into electricity.”

The situation in the UK is getting even uglier than fines and Green Police…it’s beginning to remind me of Nazi Germany…kids spying on parents just like the Hitler Youth…

Better yet, since the government is brainwashing kids in public schools to keep dossiers on their parents to monitor their consumption and travel habits in order to “re-educate” them for the green dictatorship, maybe the children can be covertly recruited to report Mom and Dad to the local green commissar if they commit the shameful offense of throwing a used tea bag into the black bin instead of the yellow bin.

Energy giant NPower also lavished huge sums in advertising expenses to drive its “Climate Cops” campaign, in which children are encouraged to sign up as “climate cops” and keep “climate crime case files” on their families, friends and neighbors.

The motto used to be “Blood and Honor”, I wonder if they’ll change it to Blood and Garbage?

Global Warming Insanity = Financial Black Hole

black-hole-lab2Here is more of the insanity I speak of.  Reuters reports on the financial ripoff of  climate fund money.  See, it works this way. They pass phony laws and ripoff everyone.  They set it up so large companies that pollute have to buy permits from the state to emit pollution.  Then they collect 100’s of millions of dollars that are supposed to be used to fight CO2 and global warming.  But, when the state gets in a tight spot, they transfer the funds to the general fund and then piss it away.  In this particular article it’s New Jersey.  You can read it here.

California has pulled the same crap for decades.  They collect taxes on gas, that are supposed to pay for road repairs and improvements, then they get in a tight spot and transfer the money to the general fund and piss your tax dollars away.  Drive in California and you can see that the net effect is you almost need a gas hog 4-wheel drive SUV to get through the potholes without your car and you disappearing into a black hole in the pavement.

This is a financial black hole for your money.  When will the public wake up to this ripoff tactic?  While you don’t get a carbon tax  on your state tax form, you still pay one, because you really don’t think the big polluters like power plants and oil refineries actually pay this out of their own pockets do you?  No, they raise the price of power, gas, diesel and you pay for it greentards.

Tundra Melting? Not!

TundraC3 reports that the tundra isn’t melting.  Methane will not be coming to an atmoshphere near you anytime soon!  Why?

Turns out that Arctic warming encourages growth of vegetation, especially dense, ground covering shrubs, which cause the ground to be shaded (go figure). As a result, the permafrost does not thaw as expected and large amounts of greenhouse gases are not released.  Voilà, a natural negative feedback!

You can read the whole thing here.  Poor Chicken Little…the sky is not falling!

California Jobs Initiative Petition – Stop CARB

ScreenHunter_01 Mar. 17 10.52Here is a link to the California Jobs Initiative Petition to get CARB (California Air Resources Board) to cease with the CO2 BS until the job market improves.  If you live in California and don’t want the state to be more screwed up than it already is please download, sign and send it in.  Get your friends to sign, too.  This will cost jobs in California, not create them.

You can thank AG Jerry Brown (aka: Governor Moonbeam) for the lovely title he came up with to make it sound like we’ll all die from smog if we sign it.

Here’s another link to the California Jobs Initiative website.

Here is a link that analyzes the effect of this bill from Environmental Valuation & Cost Benefit News. According to them…

In terms of employment, this output loss is equivalent to the loss of roughly half a million jobs for the state due to minimum ARB cost, 900,000 jobs loss due to costs to consumers, and 1.1 million jobs loss due to costs to small businesses. A loss of 1.1 million jobs represents over 3% of the total population of California.

We’ll be green and unemployed.  The Governator and the dolts at CARB don’t give a hoot if you starve or not, nor do many of the elected representatives in this state of confusion.

Git 'er done!

ClintonWell I orignally thought this was about Larry the Cable Guy when I saw the headline, but per this article from The Hill it’s actually a quote from ex-President Bill Clinton himself.

Former President Bill Clinton urged Senate Democrats to pass energy and climate change legislation that he said would provide an economic spark to the U.S., according to senators emerging from Clinton’s briefing to the Democrats’ weekly caucus lunch Tuesday.

“He just said get it done, get it done because it’s good for our economy,” said Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), who caucuses with the Democrats.

I now wonder if he runs around in shirts with the sleeves cut-off?  I can imagine what Larry the Cable Guy would have to say about global warming and carbon trading…it sure wouldn’t be “git ‘er done!”

Mean Green

Mean Greens 2Mean Green….when you go green you get mean and you justify things according to this article from Guardian.co.uk.

When Al Gore was caught running up huge energy bills at home at the same time as lecturing on the need to save electricity, it turns out that he was only reverting to “green” type.

According to a study, when people feel they have been morally virtuous by saving the planet through their purchases of organic baby food, for example, it leads to the “licensing [of] selfish and morally questionable behaviour”, otherwise known as “moral balancing” or “compensatory ethics”.

So, if I use biodegradable soap I am perfectly justified driving a gas hog Suburban…According to this it justifies other things, too…

Do Green Products Make Us Better People is published in the latest edition of the journal Psychological Science. Its authors, Canadian psychologists Nina Mazar and Chen-Bo Zhong, argue that people who wear what they call the “halo of green consumerism” are less likely to be kind to others, and more likely to cheat and steal. “Virtuous acts can license subsequent asocial and unethical behaviours,” they write.

They aren’t  pikers either…

Later, in an honour system in which participants were asked to take money from an envelope to pay themselves their spoils, the greens were six times more likely to steal than the conventionals.

I think I’ll keep being conventional.  I certainly wouldn’t want to be like a green.

Now the IPCC is Going to Study Us

UN BuildingYes, you have read it correctly. It couldn’t be their fault nobody believes them! It must be the fault of the masses! Now they want to put us under the microscope so that they can find out what lies we’ll believe in the next report. This article in Telegraph.co.uk reports the following…

The head of the United Nations (UN) has announced a review of how the world examines the risk of global warming following a series of scandals around the science of climate change.

I can save them lots of time and money on the next one.  How they come to their conclusions?  Lets try bogus data, cherry-picked data, peer review only by those who agree with them, etc….

an independent review will be carried out by the InterAcademy of Council, an organisation that represents national science academies around the world. The review will look at how the IPCC, that is run by volunteer scientists and relies on input from thousands of people around the world, comes to its conclusions.

They’re going to make sure they don’t screw up next time…

“It is critically important that the science we bring into our reports and disseminate on a large scale is accepted across the globe, by governments, businesses and civil society,” he said.

“We expect that this review will help us strengthen the entire process by which we carry out preparation of our reports.”

This is just the kind of  CO2 Insanity I speak of.  Why can’t they just admit they screwed up BIG TIME, kick all the liars out, and start over?  Too simple I suppose?
